New X2 on portals and 32s

Hey guys, I just recently bought a new X2. I had it lifted on portals with 32s. Still haven't officially taken delivery on it but cannot wait. Still getting odds and ends put together. Got some pictures the other day thought I'd join and share. I see a lot of questions regarding tire size and fitting with what lift. So far everything fits like a glove. I'll report back after I flex the suspension a bit.

I saw your X2 in person! I have a buddy at that dealership and he was showing me the awesomeness of your machine. Very nice! I bet you could conquer the St. Helen rocks.

Thanks man. I saw your post regarding someone else talking about fitting 32s and how you saw an X2 being built at a dealership. I figured I'd join and share some pictures of the progress. It all came together very well. I'll be interested to see how the portal gear reduction and Sheave kit work together to turn those 32s. Being that it's a Yamaha I knew I was starting with a pretty bullet proof platform. I never had a single problem with my Rhino. Not one blown belt, bent or broken axle or tie Rod.

I am wondering why you wasted the money on a winch? lol I guess it must be for the buddies you ride with, ha.

Wow, nice rig. It's a shame you have to wait until August to take it to the Michigan mud jam in Hale

Any updates on how you are liking the X2 with portals? How wide is it set up like that?

So far it has exceeded my expectations. The portals low gearing turns the 32s with absolutely no problems. My only complaint is I will absolutely need to invest in custom mud flaps. I already bought uhmw material and will fab something up in the spring. The machine measures out a hair over 69 inches wide outside tire to tire.

Thank you. Tires are System3 XT300 Extreme Trail. They hook on everything so far. Don't wander to bad on hard pack either. Wheels are SB-3 beadlocks System3
