    Neat build so far. You must not get snow where you live? Your garage is one of those steel carports...I have two and they don't like the snow load very much lol.

    Not sure of exact thickness just some stuff i had laying around shop maby around 1/8 or a little bigger

    I did look into a portal set up and here localy a shop has a set for 3200$ alot of money but i figure where i ride go big or go home i have around 6 inches of lift now and 32s with not very much cv angle or stress on suspension parts then i can also add portals lator down the road for a total of 10 onches of lift and what ever tires i end up with...

    No we do not get any snow in houston tx coldest days in the 30s most of year around 70 and summer around 90 to 100 °

    So droped it off at cobra axle in pasadena tx monday just picked it up today sat morning they got the rear axles made and installed cobra extreme duty hds but could not build the front due to custom lenght and how sharp my machne turns so had to order parts to build king cobra axles for the front.... all together looking about 1800$ in axles but should be some of the best axles on the market

    Hey man, how did this turn out for u? Any pics or info!? I'd like to do something like that but prob just go w portals but if I could fab it like u, I'd be working on it right now! Ha.

    The riser plates just rest on top and bolt is all that holds them ? ….or are they getting welded down.

    The leverage afforded by tall plate appears it would turn the plate into a shear and just cut off the lower bolt when the upper shock bolt tries to roll it outward.
