    Hello everybody!

My name is Lucas Cooney and I am the editor-in-chief of ATV.com. Last week I spent a few days in Utah with Honda and some other media folks test driving the Honda Talon 1000X and 1000R.

I agree with you. This seems like a pitch to sell Hondas, not a comparison. Were trying to promote Yamaha's over here.

If you want to get rid of this anarchist, all we have to do is tell our wives lol. Cause the Talon is a sweet machine and I am trying not to look! This is not fair! So Go Away please lol.

Freedom of speech and opinion is a good thing! Iím not trying to stir the pot but Iíll offer another opinion from a different perspective! I think the the sharing of information is a wonderful thing, even from forum to forum. It was posted in the proper place where interest and discussion has already taken place about the Talon. I donít believe this forum was ever set up to promote or sell Yamahas. I believe itís designed for positive discussion and solutions to problems, as well as sharing of ideas. I for one was glad to hear about the new forum as my brother is interested in the Talon and now I can pass it along. In general weíre all just UTV enthusiasts. Itís not us against them! I visit other forums often looking for general information, I donít ever want to be treated like the Talon forum administrator just was because I drive a Yamaha. While I havenít always been a member I have been on this forum ever since the very beginning and in the early days there were some individuals that conducted themselves very poorly and were asked to take it somewhere else. The feeling has always been to keep it positive on here. Nothing wrong with some joking around either. You can bet weíre not the only forum he posted information in regarding the new Talon forum, Iím curious how he was received elsewhere. I hope we didnít just aquire the reputation as the conceited Yamaha fan boy blank blank holes! Im not chastising anyone, just food for thought!

Honda's quality is legendary like Yamaha, neither are perfect for everyone, but they both hold together better than most others.

So I was watching some videos on the new Talon, when it goes by someone videoing it, sounds like you can really hear it shift gears. when you drive it in Auto mode can you feel it bang though the gears? Also it looks pretty fast for 105hp. Over all looks like a quality machine, one more thing is itís cool that itís built here in the USA.
