    Amsoil Mudslinger

I’m sure some of you have heard of this stuff but I just was told about it this last weekend. I bought a can and thought I’d give it a try. I like the idea of an easier clean up and that it is a spray on. That way you can get your inner fender wells, a Arms , springs, etc coated. I also was interested in it’s plastic UV protection and the way it’s supposed to restore the look. Anyway, I took a couple before and after pics. Not as easy to see the difference but I can tell you in person it’s very noticeable. I had some spots where the black on the over fenders and door panels looked dull. A combo of some wax that got on it and I think sitting in the sun possibly as I bought this as a holder over and I believe it sat outside some. First two pics are before. Last two after.

Looks like it works pretty well. I got wax on my hard plastic too and doesn't look the best right now. Maybe I'll give this stuff a whirl.

SC1 works really well too. Don’t know about the price difference. Been awhile since I bought a can. Pretty pricey if I remember right but restores the color and easy to wash mud off after.

It goes on super easy and I had the whole outside sprayed in 5 minutes. I then waited about 10 minutes and wiped it down. I wiped it down again in the morning. It’s now dry and super slick. Totally restored my black plastic to a deep dark shine. I’ll report how it cleans up after I get her dirty again. So far I’m sold even if it’s just for shinning it up. $10 a can, not bad.

There is some left but I didn’t get everything yet. My guess is that to do everything (inner fender wells , springs, wheels, etc) you will need to cans. The one can was enough to do all the outside plastics and dash/console.

If this stuff is anything like SC1 (am sure it is because it’s Amsoil) you’d be surprised. My Rspec is covered in the same “pinstriping” and SC1 does an excellent job of making it looking like new.

Mudslinger is a few bucks cheaper than SC1. I’ll be trying it soon to compare.

    Thanks, 338weatherby.

How about it might make your machine look good from far but far from good!

It will just brighten it up that's all.
