Well its all in the details. What sort of stereo are you talking about and how you thinking of mount there.
More questions then anything. None of the factory plastic is thick. It flexes everywhere and that need to be taken into account on anything thats mounted.

The stereo is in my hand and in the photo. It's a JBL Prv-175.

Its not very deep if thats it. LOL I wasn't sure what you were holding. Maybe a hole saw. I google that number. A fair number of dissatisfied owners and problems however with it and for that price I saw on Amazon I'd expect bet feedback.

Good luck and you'd need to match speakers for its impedance requirements.

A hunt and this appear a better product and only needs 3" hole. FYI ---- https://www.bossaudio.com/product/ma...audio-mgr350b/

I've done my research on the JBL unit. If I get one of the bad ones, I'll get a free replacement. I've owned Boss Audio equipment and it's cheap for a reason. Their 400W amp was maybe 40W on its best day.

Very good, research is key. I couldn't help see a lot of problem post when I looked it up to see what you were dealing with. The BOSS model does look better and higher output. Anyway, the wolverine is very noisy unless you are cruising slow or just parked I can't see a use for a stereo system myself.

You are right about the noise on the first generation Wolverine, but he has the second generation Wolverine and that is the difference.

My first side x side was a first generation Wolverine and it was very noisy and an audio system in it may or may not have been a good option, so I did not put one in it, my new second generation Wolverine on the other hand is the quietest side x side on the market and an audio system in it could be a great option, I will be putting an audio system in this side x side , I just have to find the system I want to use.
