Finally put the upper doors on

Well it's been way too hot to bother until now. We finally started cooling off a bit and got some big rain. I went ahead and put the upper doors on. These are the Yamaha ones. Installation was pretty simple, at least for these the seats didn't need to come out, only the roof and the windshield. It's a pretty good package there is no air coming in at all anymore. I got a little warm and was glad I had the Seizmik vents in the windshield. As for the rain - it was a blast riding in heavy rain! I'm really looking forward to some snow, but here south of Charlotte, NC we don't get much. Name: 10-31-2019 Ride (2).jpg

I cant tell from the picture if these are snap fit to the doors or Velcro. Not sure if Yamaha even has that option. Can you clear this up for me?

The factory yamaha doors are snap fit to the doors. they work well, but you have to unzip them every time you get in or out.

Ok, thanks. I may go with the after market ones that have the option of Velcro.

Just remember velcro gets gunked up mud and dirt pretty easily.

Don't go velcro, had them on another machine, they don't last a week! Snaps are working out fine.

The zippers don’t like mud. I had just a little mud and it hung up the zipper on the driver’s side. I tore the pull off. The driver’s door is at a repair shop. $67 for a complete replacement zipper. Ouch!

Paul, how well do the windshield vents work? Do they help prevent the windshield from fogging up? I’m thinking of adding them to my Wolverine.

Paul, Come to WV to ride. We have had snow already there.
Zippers and Velcro get muddy and freeze up. Snaps are easier.
