    Great Western Trail 50" Section

So the Suzuki forum kind of sucks so I thought I'd post this here. Today I finally got to do a ride I've been wanting to do for a long time. I have passed these 50" trail barriers many times in the SXS's and always thought that there was probably amazing country behind them. And let me tell you what a roller coaster ride it was through the wilderness. From the bottom gates it was 18 miles until you came out the gates at the top of the mountain. AMAZING!!! Nothing but twists and turns through tunnels of trees. Then 23 more miles on mountain roads back to the bottom. The pic of the gates is where we came out on top. The rest were along they way. My back will feel it tomorrow. Over a hundred miles is nothing in the X4 but these 41 today kicked my butt. LOL.Name: 20190913_142932.jpg

I wonder if not getting a 50" SxS was a bad move but the ones I saw weren't anything like the Wolverine. Only the Wildcat was of interest but had a very low seat posture which would not have worked for me I am sure, less they had a hoist to get the driver out. LOL

It's something I've seriously considered as well. And maybe one day. But for now nobody makes a 50" 4 seater, so I wouldn't give the X4 up. The fun I've had in it with my family and friends. Cant give that up.

I didn't. LOL. Those gates at the top dump out on a mountain road at about 10,000 ft.. I have driven past them many times in the X4. This particular mountain actually has that Great Western Trail 50" section that I road that day and a few other 50" trails on it that I still need to explore but it also has many trails and roads that do not have width restrictions many of which cross paths with the 50" trails in spots. I have ridden many 50" trails in the paiute trail system but these had eluded me. I've been playing on this mountain alot since I sold my last quad and went full SXS the 50" gates I pass all the time had been taunting me. Not any more.
