I bought an inexpensive ITP Delta steel wheel and a brand new take off tire from my dealer. Mounted with a ratchet strap to the rear of the roll bar cage.

Heck yeah! Only a ratchet strap? Don’t get more expense friendly than that!

You can go with a 12" or 14" wheel (get a front wheel/tire so it fits front or rear) and I'd recommend either the same tires as you are running now or at least one close to the same diameter.

I called around to different Yamaha dealers in my area and got a brand new tire and rim for $75. Some guy bought a X2 and had the stock tires taken off and new ones put on. Dealer wanted to get rid of them.

One thing to consider for a spare tire is to get one that is non-directional that way it can be used anywhere. I'm sure you can use a directional anywhere for a spare but just something to consider.

My front is 12x9, would a 12 x 7 rim be fine to use for spare? Figured it would be as long as I use a 27” tire
