    Mud Rebel RT Maxxis Carnivore

Guys looking for any feed back on these two tires. Got my rim finally picked out but still stuck with the tire choice.

Mud Rebel RT and Carnivore are my two top choices with Blackwater Evo and Rip Saw at 3 and 4 i never thought it would be so hard lol. So any feedback on how yours perform and or weight affected your machine as these are much heavier

I have a set of 30x10/15 Mud Rebel RT's, and a set of 28x10/14 Ripsaws on bead locks. The Mud Rebels seemed pretty good all around, but I prefer the Ripsaws, they are a little heavy, but they chew and sling some serious dirt clods with great traction, and do well on hard pack as well.

I have the 708 gen 1 machine, and it turns them both over just fine. If I had it to do again in a 28" tire, I would go 9" instead of 10" to save a little weight. A 10" tire on a 28" rm just looks a little too wide to me, The 10" in the 30" tire looks more proportionate. My riding areas are mountains and high desert, and the Ripsaws have served me well.

Thank you that is good stuff, Yea not looking forward to the mud slinging from the front. I am worried about the weight. To do 9 would have to do only Rip Saw and it would be 27" would hope the 27 measured true to get something out of it.

Pretty sure the Ripsaws run short. I run 27x9R12 all around in the Bearclaw HTR's and like the size. It works well and looks proportional to me.

    Next to 28x10 Mudlites.

Yeah, the HTR show in the photo as a flatter cap profile while the Ripsaw clearly much more rounded.

Although not on your list. Consider the STI X Comp ATR radials. They ride very smooth. It's a steel belted 10 ply radial tire. I have a few hundred miles on mine right now and they work great. They are not a mud tire, but they do better in the mud than Terrabites that my buddy has.

Ive heard really good things about the ITP XTR. I am trying to decide between the XTR and the Blackwater EVO's.

I had the 27 XTR and they were a good all around tire even tho a mud tire. I ride mostly trails and some roads, only miscellaneous mud. The ITP/Carlisle factory support was second to none with a delivery problem I had with the tire dealer. The factory went above and beyond to help solve the problem when the dealer was non-existent. They are still going on my son's Rhino
