    EMP Rear View Mirror

    I got one for Christmas.
It seems to be the best mirror that is mounted far away from your head/face.
The mirror itself is great, but it vibrates pretty bad.
The vibrations are not a big deal, but it is very distracting when driving to me.
I saw a picture on one of the facebook groups where a guy added a bracket (to the bracket) to cut down on vibrations, but wondering if anyone else has this issue?

I am thinking about trying a long velcro strap from the back of the mirror to the bracket to absorb the shaking. I was also thinking rubber bands might work, but who has those anymore? I think I have some old thin ones. Ha.

If I can't come up with a solution, I am going to have to get the Seizmik or Yamaha rearview.
I did not plan on getting one at all, but when driving the sxs without it, I keep look up for one like I am in a car.
I do have side mirrors. I got the seizmik pursuit aluminum mirrors.

I have an EMP rearview as well. To be honest, it's a POS. I've tried various ways to secure it with no success. It's great that its forward and out of the way of your head but it rattles like a tin can, the back ball will loosen to the point you can no longer keep it tight and it's essentially garbage at that point. Not too mention that when trailering, the wind will blow it around so bad you have to tighten it prior to every ride leading to the aforementioned loose ball. Your money, spend it how you want but I'm going to toss mine in the trash and get something else.

No help on the EMP rear view, but I do have the Seizmik Halo-R and colored bezels.
It comes with a piece of foam rubber to make up the gap on the clamp.
It's really tight and zero vibration issues.
I like how I can have it away from my face.

Is there a way to wedge something in the pivot area or pinch it?
I don't know what the backside looks like on the EMP mirror.

I think I will try the velcro idea, and if it doesn't work out, go yamaha or seizmik. I wish I could compare how far away from your head/face it is.

I hate that you have to throw it out.
    I appreciate the information.

I went out there with a velcro strap.
It's one of those long thin kind you get at Lowe's to wrap up cables and stuff.
There is no way to brace the mount at the back of the mirror to the top part. It just slips right off.
The mount is solid, but with two bends in it, then the mirror, it just bounces.

Try super glue in the ball joint or even jb weld and set your mirror before it dries.

I just ordered the Sezmik from UTVHQ.
The mount looks nice. I can move it side to side on the roll bar.
You can push it away from your head.
All good. Now I have to return the EMP one.

I just installed the Seizmik today.
It still vibrates, but WAY less than the EMP.
The EMP was not the end of the world, but it was very distracting. Like somebody shining a tiny flashlight in your eyes from a distance kind of distracting. The Seizmik did not do that.
