The X2 and X4 boxes are different.

I have the X4 box, and I think that it works the best of any option out there, but it is over priced for what it really is. I am sure that Yamaha could have saved a bunch of money by not including 4 billet thumb screws to secure it to the bed.

I haven't really looked at the X2 box, but it should hold to what Yamaha has built and be very nice, but realistically still too expensive for what you really get.

I think I am going to go ahead and get it. Now to find the best price.
Most places are out of stock right now.
I think $270 shipped is the best I have seen.

I agree with all the above. Nice box for the X2 but way too much money and the thumb screws do look expensive.

I think that's about what I paid for mine. Still waiting for it. They said Yamaha would ship to them July 19, we'll see.

I found them in stock on partzilla. I called to make sure. She said she had one. Only one. Then she said it is on backorder. So I guess I will wait.
I am hoping RMATV shows stock tomorrow.
I will check them both and see.

Here is what I used, $61.46 to my door. I had to drill 4 holes in plastic works perfectly. Put a lock on it and good to go.

some showed up on rmatv today.
While on the phone, the stock count went from 4 to 1.
I think they were probably filling back orders.
She said she had one, so I bought it.

For those of you who have this box, does it get really hot inside?
I know there is a good amount of heat in the bed.
That, with the aluminum screws possibly bringing heat in the box...
Is heat a concern at all?
